Andre Tan
Product, Design & Systems Facilitator
Working with teams to clarify problems, align perspectives, and make better decisions.

Hi, I’m Andre — and I help teams see clearly, align around what matters, and move forward with purpose.

I began my career in industrial and product design, shaping physical products, studying how people behave, and solving problems through form and function. That work opened my eyes to something deeper: every product sits inside a system of people, decisions, incentives, and cultural assumptions that shape it long before it ever becomes real.

As I moved across industries — from tech to services, government to start-ups, and creative to corporate environments — and worked with teams across Asia, Europe, and other cultural contexts, I realised that clarity isn’t just about good thinking.
It’s about understanding how different people see the world.

Different cultures approach collaboration differently.
Different verticals value different kinds of evidence.
Different teams speak different “languages” of problem-solving.

Navigating all of that sharpened my ability to translate, bridge perspectives, and create shared understanding across very different worlds.

Over time, my work evolved into product design, business design, branding, and eventually systems thinking — not as an abstract discipline, but as a practical way of understanding how culture, context, and complexity influence the work.

Today, I help teams who sit in ambiguity, misalignment, or fast-changing environments. Instead of adding more frameworks or jargon, I help them build clear, shared meaning — the kind that aligns decisions, accelerates strategy, and makes collaboration feel natural again.

I also design learning experiences that break away from traditional “training,” which is often boring, passive, and easily forgotten. My approach is hands-on, visual, and human — helping teams learn by exploring, practicing, and making sense of their work together.

If your team is talented but struggling to move in the same direction, that’s where I come in.

What I bring

I’m often invited into moments where things feel messy, undefined, or stuck.
My strength lies in helping teams:

  • untangle complexity into something graspable
  • align across cultural differences and ways of thinking
  • navigate conflicting priorities with shared understanding
  • design clarity where ambiguity had been slowing decisions
  • bring diverse perspectives into a unified strategic direction

Because I’ve worked across multiple cultures and industries, I’m able to spot patterns quickly — and translate them into insights teams can actually use. I help people understand not just what others are saying, but why they see the world the way they do.

Clients often describe my presence as calm, clarifying, and quietly catalytic. Enough structure to move forward, enough openness to explore what’s emerging, and just enough challenge to spark meaningful change.

My approach

My approach is grounded in the belief that teams learn best by doing, not consuming information passively.

I design collaborative spaces where people think together, explore real problems, and make sense of their work with honesty and curiosity. The methods I use draw from:

  • design thinking
  • product and business design
  • systems thinking
  • visual sense-making
  • strategic facilitation
  • cross-cultural communication and translation

I don’t force teams into a framework. I help them build the clarity and alignment that fits their context, their culture, and their goals.

It’s learning that’s alive — and it leads to decisions and behaviours that stick.

What I believe

  • Clarity accelerates everything. When teams see the same reality, they make smarter, faster decisions.
  • Complexity becomes workable when it’s shared. Confusion comes from fragmented perspectives, not complexity itself.
  • Alignment must be designed. Different cultures, roles, and verticals require different ways of working — alignment doesn’t happen by accident.
  • People learn through experience. Real learning comes from exploration, application, reflection, and conversation — not slides.
  • A unified perspective unlocks performance. When teams can literally see the same picture, they move with purpose.

Who I work with

I partner with product teams, design teams, strategy groups, and cross-functional leadership teams navigating:

  • cultural or functional communication gaps
  • unclear strategic direction
  • complex cross-vertical collaboration
  • conflicting mental models
  • decision-making bottlenecks
  • fast-changing environments requiring shared clarity

Whether in tech, government, services, creative industries, or multinational contexts, I help teams create alignment that respects differences rather than flattens them.

If we collaborate

You can expect someone who listens deeply, translates across perspectives and cultures, and helps your team uncover the clarity they didn’t realise they were missing.

I won’t come in with prepackaged answers — but I will help you discover the right patterns, build shared understanding, and create the structures that help your team move forward with confidence.

If your organisation values clarity, purposeful collaboration, and learning that actually transforms behaviour, I’d be glad to explore how we can work together.
